Moving to Las Vegas from somewhere else? We help you pick the right part of the valley first.

Is the southwest right for your move?

If you're relocating to Southwest Las Vegas, you're probably drawn by space and value. For someone arriving from a pricier market, that can feel like a lot of house for the money.

What daily life looks like

  • Getting around: the 215 is the main freeway, and the Strip is about 20 minutes away by car. A newer bus route reaches Mountain's Edge, with limited stops, so most people drive.
  • Errands: a new Costco, Sam's Club, Best Buy and IKEA are close, with a Life Time gym opening soon as of September 2026.
  • Going out: local casinos have movie theaters and restaurants, so you don't have to fight Strip traffic for dinner and a movie.
  • Outdoors: Henderson and Summerlin have more hiking trails, about 15 minutes away.

Choosing a community from a distance

The southwest includes very different communities: guard-gated golf in Rhodes Ranch and Spanish Trail, the newer master plan of Mountain's Edge, golf and I-15 access in Southern Highlands, and the more established streets of Spring Valley. Our community videos help you see them before you fly in, and we keep you updated by phone and text wherever you are.

Buying from out of state

Nevada may do things differently from where you live now. There's no attorney at closing, because escrow and title handle it. The inspection window is called the due diligence period and usually runs 10 days. Earnest money is typically $5,000 or 1% of the price, held by escrow. Our buying page walks through each step, and our relocation page compares the southwest with the rest of the valley. Read more about Southwest Las Vegas, then tell us about your move.
