Seller Tips: Why Your First 14 Days on the Market Matter Most in Las Vegas

Title card for the article: Seller Tips: Why Your First 14 Days on the Market Matter Most in Las Vegas

The first two weeks decide everything

The first two weeks your home is on the market in Las Vegas will determine everything. That's when buyers are watching. That's when agents bring their serious clients. That's when you have leverage. Miss that window? You're chasing the market.

Our team at the Las Vegas Realty Team builds momentum before a home even hits the market, so we create demand immediately. See how we sell a home for the full plan.

8 things to do before you sell your home

  1. Professional photos are critical. Paying for professional photos is how your home gets seen online.
  2. Declutter and remove personal items. Less is more.
  3. Deep clean the home. No trash anywhere, and no dirty grout around bathtubs or tile floors. A clean house is more important than a remodeled home that's not cleaned up.
  4. Clean all appliances. Buyers will open everything.
  5. Make it bright. Don't close the blinds. Let the sunshine in.
  6. Get a pre-listing home inspection so you know what repairs buyers will ask for. In March 2026 the cost was about $350.
  7. Add a home warranty to your home.
  8. Create a video of your home and market it online. It's a necessity, because most buyers shop for homes online, on sites like Zillow and Realtor.com.
